About the Presenters

Adam Burnett
Executive Director, Champ HomesAdam Burnett, a native to Cape Cod, joined Boardwalk Business Group in 2017, working with non-profits to professionalize their accounting systems. In 2018, through Boardwalk Business Group, Adam began his work as Executive Director of Champ Homes, and has led this organization for 7.5 years. Adam continues his work with Boardwalk Business Group offering fractional operating support to clients throughout Cape Cod and Southeastern MA.
A graduate of Barnstable Hight School, Adam went on to Bentley University in Waltham, MA to earn a B.S. in Managerial Economics. While at Bentley, he volunteered with Oxfam America and in a variety of schools helping at risk youth with their reading competency. After graduating, he worked at City Roots High School in South Boston as a math teacher and life skills coach. Shifting gears, Adam had a 10-year career as a regional manager of several Boston restaurants.
He met his wife Andrea, a teacher in Barnstable Public Schools, and they were married in 2004. They moved back to the Cape in 2009 and have two beautiful children, Abby and Ben.
Outside of his work with Champ Homes and Boardwalk Business Group, Adam volunteers his time with a variety of organizations. He has served on the Board of Directors of The Philanthropy Partners of Cape Cod and the Islands, Cape Cod Young Professionals, and Barnstable Little League as well as being their treasurer. He enjoys cycling, hiking, and travel, especially camping with his family.

Matt Cronin
Founder & President, Boardwalk Business Group LLCMatt founded Boardwalk Business Group in 2014. Boardwalk Business Group provides outsourced CFO, operational support, strategic advisory and bookkeeping services for nonprofits and small businesses.
Matt has served as CFO for two national nonprofit organizations, School Leaders Network and as Regional CFO for Resources for Human Development. In addition, he served as CFO and subsequently CEO for a Cape Cod based nonprofit, Living Independently Forever.
Matt started as an audit and business consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Philadelphia. While there, Matt obtained his CPA license.
Matt has an Executive MBA from Boston University and a BS from Villanova University in Accountancy with an English minor.
Matt has an extensive volunteer background. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Cape Cod Foundation and as the Treasurer for Sandwich Youth Basketball. For ten years, he served as a volunteer for the Cape Cod YMCA, as Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Board Member, soccer/basketball/baseball coach. Matt was Board Chair for two years for CCYP, Inc. and has been Board Treasurer for eight Massachusetts nonprofits in total. He also has volunteered as a mentor and small business instructor for numerous start up businesses through a national nonprofit, Entrepreneurship for All. On top of that he has coached 27 different youth sports teams for his four children. He lives in Sandwich with his wife and four children (although two split time at their respective universities in Indiana and Florida).
Matt was previously recognized by Cape & Plymouth Business Magazine as a “40 Under 40” Award Winner as one of the region’s young business leaders.
