PPCI Ann Kanaga Professional Development Scholarship
Philanthropy Partners of the Cape and Islands (PPCI) has provided an opportunity to encourage growth in the Development Field in our community. The scholarships were open to any development professionals working on Cape Cod and/or the Islands, regardless of years in the industry or size of organization.
“In 2017, I was a recipient of the PPCI Emerging Development Professional Scholarship and used the funding to attend the New England Association for Healthcare Philanthropy Conference. My goal was to attend the conference workshops and use this knowledge to bolster my skillset in my new position at Community Health Center of Cape Cod as a Development Associate. In addition, I wanted to take steps towards earning my CFRE, which would allow me to advance in my career.
After the conference, I was able to apply what I’d learned to my job at the Health Center, and I made several new professional connections. Furthermore, I earned points towards my CFRE eligibility for each of the four workshops I attended. Three years later, I have now earned my CFRE and was promoted to Senior Giving Officer at the Health Center. I thank the PPCI for helping me to reach this new career high.”
