MCN Announces Nonprofit Excellence Award Finalists

PPCI Board President Named Finalist for Massachusetts Nonprofit Excellence Award

The Cape and Islands nonprofit community has another reason to celebrate.

The Massachusetts Council of Nonprofits (MCN) recently announced the finalists for its 2026 Nonprofit Excellence Awards, recognizing outstanding nonprofit leaders and organizations from across the Commonwealth. Selected from more than 150 nominations statewide, finalists were chosen by a panel of judges for their leadership, impact, and dedication to strengthening their communities.

PPCI is proud to share that Board President Cyndy Cotton, Executive Director of the Osterville Village Library, has been named a finalist for the Excellence Award in Leadership.

This award recognizes nonprofit chief and senior executives who demonstrate exceptional organizational leadership while exemplifying strategic vision, integrity, innovation, perseverance, collaboration, and community impact.

The 2026 finalists for the Excellence Award in Leadership are:

  • Larry Camerlin, Angel Flight of New England, Inc.
  • Cyndy Cotton, Osterville Free Library Corporation
  • Sandra McCroom, Children’s Services of Roxbury
  • Leemarie Mosca, Rosie’s Place

The Nonprofit Excellence Awards ceremony will take place on June 17 at the New England Aquarium in Boston, where finalists and award recipients will be celebrated for their extraordinary contributions to the nonprofit sector.
