Nominations for Philanthropy Day Awards Due August 30
August 16, 2022, Hyannis, MA – Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the young people, volunteers, businesses, and philanthropists who are giving back to their community.
We’re bringing in-person Philanthropy Day back–including the ever-popular Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Awards, which will be presented at the event on November 9 at The Resort and Conference Center in Hyannis. Nominations can be submitted online at capecodphilanthropy.org.
Each year, this prestigious high-profile conference attracts more than 500 professional fundraisers, executive directors, board members, and volunteers across the region. Outstanding community members are recognized in four categories: Philanthropist, Business/Organization, Volunteer and Youth.
“The Cape and Islands would not be the resilient, beautiful community we know and love without the dedication and support of philanthropists, volunteers, businesses, and our young people. We encourage everyone in the community to take a moment to nominate individuals and businesses that have significantly contributed to making our region great,” said Catherine Baker, committee chair, Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod.
The Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Awards are given each year. In 2019, the last time the event was held in-person and awardees were selected, recipients included:
- Outstanding Philanthropist Award: Trish and Tom Kennedy
- Outstanding Business Award: RPM Carpets & Floor Coverings
- Outstanding Volunteer Award: Mary LeClair
- Outstanding Youth Award: The Wareham High School Key Club
