Join us for an interactive discussion about how to maximize growth potential through effective donor stewardship strategies. Each person in an organization plays an important role as it relates to the engagement, experience, and satisfaction of their donors. In this session, we will discuss and share strategies for developing a stewardship model centered around effective communication, varied opportunities for meaningful engagement, and strong personal connections with donors.

Tess Blackwell

Director of Advancement, Riverview School

As Director of Advancement Tess oversees Riverview’s Fundraising Strategy, Marketing & Communications and Family Engagement. She works in partnership with School Leadership and the Development Committee to set and manage the school’s fundraising efforts both annually and through strategic multi-year campaigns. Tess has been with Riverview School since 2016, and previously worked in fundraising and development for an international non-profit organization serving children in Central America and the Caribbean. With nearly 15 years of experience in fundraising and donor development, Tess has direct experience in many areas that make an effective Advancement Team: She has knowledge in special event fundraising, annual giving, major gifts, strategic planning, campaign management and the development of meaningful donor stewardship. Tess lives in Plymouth with her husband John and their three young children June, Graham and Connor. In her downtime you can find her sea glass hunting on the beach with her children, carpooling, shoelace tying and counting down the days to another coastal summer.

Associate Director of Advancement, Riverview School

As Associate Director of Advancement Erin focuses on Riverview’s Fundraising
Strategy, Family Engagement and Special Events. She works in partnership with the
Director of Advancement, School Leadership and the Development Committee to set and manage the school’s fundraising efforts annually and through strategic multi-year campaigns. Erin has been with Riverview School since 2018, and previously worked in sales, marketing and event management for local and national brands. Erin has nearly 10 years of experience in fundraising, including special event fundraising, annual giving and major gifts. Her experience extends to the strategic creation and execution of special events that engage and improve the donor experience. Erin lives in Sandwich with her husband Eric and son Eero. Outside of work Erin enjoys the company of good friends, watching her son play soccer, digging into a good book, sketching, painting, travelling, meditation and yoga.
