The Senior Policy Advocate – Massachusetts will have a leadership role advancing Acadia Center’s efforts to promote and implement energy and climate policy reforms focusing on Massachusetts and related regional forums. Areas of attention include climate pathways, energy efficiency, clean energy, utility and power grid policy reforms and transportation climate policy. The position includes work such as representing Acadia Center in legislative forums; state and regional policy forums; with partner organizations and coalitions; in regulatory proceedings at the Department of Public Utilities; and strengthening external relationships. Drafting public comments, educational documents and filings; and communicating policy issues with media and the public are important parts of the job. The position reports to the Director of Policy.
