The Cape Media Center Board of Directors is pleased to announce the unanimous appointment of Kate McMahon as Interim Executive Director. “We are confident that Kate will lead the Cape Media Center in the best way to service the Mid-Cape communities,” said board president Tracy Shaughnessy.
Kate has been with Cape Media Center since 2018, most recently as Director of Outreach and Special Projects. She brings experience and a core understanding of the organization’s mission and vision. In considering her role in this critical time for the organization, she offered the following thoughts:
“I am grateful for the opportunity to support the media center during this time of transition, and to work in collaboration with the board, staff, members, and partners to continue our work while the organization secures new leadership. I am committed to work towards our Vision 2022 goal, which includes new classes, and increased outreach to schools and other groups. In our service area, investment in newer equipment, and facilities updates that will benefit the staff and members, giving the community true access to a state-of-the art-facility.”
“The Board of Directors is enthusiastic about having Kate continue her service to the media center as she brings a breadth of knowledge and experience to this position,” said Rodrigo Passos, board vice president.
Please join us on February 23, 2022 from 6-8pm, for a social and open house event.
