Fundraising in a Time of Crisis: Following the Fundamentals

This spring has brought renewed hope that there’s better – more normal – days ahead. What does that mean for leading your organization’s fundraising efforts? In this session we look at how fundraising fundamentals helped us through the last 12-months and provide direction for the uncertain path ahead.

Join us us remotely on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. for Fundraising in a Time of Crisis: Following the Fundamentals, moderated by Cyndy Cotton of the Osterville Village Library.

Hear from PJ Richardson, Chief Development Officer at the YMCA Cape Cod on how their fundraising plans have been their north star and helped deepen board member engagement and relationships.

Wendy Cullinan, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Cape Cod, and Pauline Neves, Senior Consultant for Harrington Management International will discuss the benefits of getting back to the fundamentals of fundraising and stewardship in 2020 and 2021 and how that positively impacted Habitat’s mission.

Come prepared to share what worked and what didn’t for you and your organization and bring your questions! Moderated by Cyndy Cotton of the Osterville Village Library.

This event is FREE to attend with advance registration for current PPCI members; and $10 per person for non-members.

PJ Richardson

PJ has worked at the YMCA Cape Cod since early 2000 when he was hired to expand the YMCA’s Camp Lyndon property in order to better serve the year round community with an emphasis on teen and family programming as well as community development.

In 2010 the YMCA Cape Cod promoted PJ to Chief Financial Development Officer. PJ now utilizes his community development skills to help tell the Y story to the community and ensure the Y has the necessary philanthropic support to deliver on their mission. PJ believes that it is his responsibility to nurture the potential of  children and teens. By instilling core values in children, we change our future in subtle life-altering ways. PJ has enjoyed a successful career focused on securing the resources needed to ensure that the YMCA Cape Cod is able to keep our promise to the community. PJ embraces the Y’s promise that no child will be turned away from its supportive programs and enriching opportunities due to an inability to pay. PJ considers himself to be part of a team of professionals who pride themselves on being the change they want to see in the world.

PJ received his B.A. from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Major in Government and a Minor in Sociology. He lives in Centerville with his wife Naomi, their sons Sam, twins Henry and Simon, daughter Annie and their golden retriever, Poppy.
