(Plymouth, MA – 1/5/2022) Community Systems, Inc. (CSI) Massachusetts, a nonprofit agency providing direct support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) throughout Plymouth County and across Cape Cod is excited to have James Campbell, PhD join our Team as the Executive Director.
Dr. Campbell first joined Community Systems, Inc. in 2014 as Executive Director of CSI Virginia. He is a military veteran with over 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, overseeing community-based services in the mental health and I/DD sectors.
Dr. Campbell’s passion for non-profit leadership led him to pursue a doctorate in Global Leadership, specializing in Organizational Management. His dissertation titled: A case study exploring the lived experiences of direct support professionals: Examining the link between lived experiences and leadership style reflects his passion. He is a people-centered leader who strives to cultivate a work environment that nourishes and supports employees, encouraging them to grow, prosper and find meaning in their work.

CEO, Janet Butler. “His many gifts will help CSI and our community to provide the best supports, grow leaders to influence change and to actualize our mission to help persons with disabilities to find happiness. James will help CSI to continue to excel as it moves forward in it journey.”

CSI Massachusetts supports more than 200 persons with disabilities by providing case management and independent living supports, small group homes, shared living opportunities, and day supports.
