Community Development Partnership Names Andrea Aldana as President & CEO
Longtime CDP Leadership Team Member to Succeed Retiring CEO Jay Coburn

The Community Development Partnership (CDP) announced the appointment of Andrea Aldana as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 29, 2026. Aldana currently serves as the organization’s Chief Program Officer and has been a member of the CDP team since 2011. She succeeds Jay Coburn, who is retiring after 13 years of leadership.
Following extensive stakeholder engagement, the Board of Directors selected Aldana for her deep organizational knowledge, collaborative leadership style, organizational vision, relationship-building talent, and a demonstrated ability to advance housing and economic opportunity across the Lower and Outer Cape.
“Jay leaves an extraordinary legacy — strengthening the CDP into a trusted regional leader and helping hundreds of residents find housing and hundreds of businesses grow,” said Board Chair Carole Ridley. “Andrea has played a central role in that progress. Her experience and clear vision position the organization to build on this momentum and meet the region’s evolving needs.”
As Chief Program Officer since 2022, Aldana has overseen all CDP’s housing, small business, and community programs. From 2017 to 2022, she helped lead the Lower Cape Community Housing Partnership, building it into a model for local-level advocacy and capacity-building to support the development of housing and securing a $1M five-year state grant to support regional housing advocacy and planning. Thanks, in part, to her efforts, the Lower Cape and Outer Cape now have a development pipeline that will produce over 1,500 units of housing in the next decade.
“I’m honored to step into this role at a moment when our region has a real opportunity to shape what comes next. Through my service on statewide housing and community development boards, I’ve worked alongside leaders advancing community development strategies who recognize housing as essential to a thriving workforce, small businesses, and resilient communities,” said Aldana. “Those experiences have given me insight into policy, funding, and coalition-building at the state level, and built relationships that help connect the Lower and Outer Cape to broader strategies and resources. I’m excited to bring that perspective home and help position our region as a strong, forward-looking example for how to build an economy that works for a year-round community like ours.”
Aldana joined the CDP as a volunteer shortly after moving to Cape Cod and later served as Office Manager before moving into program leadership roles. She holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from New York University and serves on the boards of the Citizens’ Housing & Planning Association (CHAPA) and the Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations (MACDC), and as Clerk of Abundant Housing Massachusetts.
Coburn, who announced his retirement earlier this year, led CDP through a period of significant growth, expanding housing development, strengthening small business programs, and elevating the organization’s regional leadership role.
“Leading the CDP has been the privilege of my career,” Coburn said. “Andrea deeply understands the mission and the community. I am supremely confident the organization is in excellent hands, and I cannot wait to marvel at her future accomplishments.”
