The Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of Sara Anton as its next Chief Executive Officer.

“Sara’s strong fundraising experience and skills, combined with her exceptional warmth, make her the ideal choice for this important role,” said Board Chair Dr. Susan Miller. “We are thrilled to have her join and lead our strong Foundation team.”

Anton brings deep knowledge of the Cape and a strong track record in philanthropy having held fundraising leadership roles at the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound, Gosnold Behavioral Health and, most recently, Calmer Choice. She holds a Master of Social Work from Boston College Graduate School of Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree fromUnion College. A Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and a resident of Sandwich, Anton also serves on the board of Philanthropy Partners of the Cape & Islands and is co-chair of this year’s Philanthropy Day.

“I am honored to step into this role at such a pivotal moment for the College,” said Anton. “I believe strongly in the Foundation’s mission and am excited to help deepen connections, engage new champions, and ensure that students and faculty have the support they need to thrive.”

Anton succeeds Kathy McNamara, who is retiring after 13 successful years as CEO. During her tenure, McNamara led transformative fundraising efforts, including securing more than $10 million for the Wilkens Science & Engineering Center.

“I am very happy for Sara and for the Foundation that she has been selected,” said McNamara.

“The mission of the Foundation is to support Cape Cod Community College, its faculty and students. It’s a wonderful place to work and I feel confident Sara will hit the ground running and excel with this new challenge.”

Anton will officially begin her role on July 7, 2025.

The search for the Foundation’s new leader was managed by The Angeletti Group and overseen by a search committee composed of Foundation Board members.
